MENTAL PREP -2 days

Friday is going to be the first day of my juicing. I order my juicer tomorrow (11/6) and buy a wks worth of veg and fruit.

Why am I doing this? Well I watched a documentary on Netflix called Fat Sick & Nearly Dying, I really recommend this to anybody who wants to be healthier and reboot their body. Anyway, after watching this program I was really quite inspired and interested in the effects that juicing has on the body, every single cell. So my sister and I decided to give it a go. My sister, Marie, is 5 days in as of today and she's not keen on my constant questions on how she's doing or how she feels. Which to be honest is something I like to know. I want to sort of see what I have to look forward to in a sense. I have read and researched this juicing thang and I am dying to ask a live person tons of questions...unfortunately she's told me to quit treating her like a lab rat.........

That is why I have decided to write about my experiences in graphic detail...just in case someone of you become inspired or interested to do this juicing thing too. Even if nobody reads this ever I at least have a diary of my journey.

My biggest fear, as I prepare mentally, is that I won't have enough WILLPOWER! I just hate that word, don't you? My biggest pitfalls are SWEETS!!!!!! Oh heaven bless me I love my sweeties. Ice cream and banana moon pies. I'm not one of those girls who is addicted to chocolate, could eat it or leave it. I also am not a wine drinker or really much of an alcohol drinker in general. I love my single malt Scotch and a cold G&T with lime in the summer, but other than that I prefer a little bit of juice with lots of club soda and ice. I have lots of ideas to make my juices super tasty, as some of you know I love to cook and bake and experiment with ideas.

I would love to get juicing recipe ideas from those of you who juice and definitely lots of encouraging advice to keep me on the straight and narrow. Most people I've told are super supportive and encouraging. My bestie told me that he wishes for me not to crap myself in public because of the copious amounts of juice I'll be drinking as he doesn't want to laugh himself into soiling his trousers either---A hysterical mental picture...that I wouldn't be too surprised if it happened, to either one of us.

If you've read this far thanks so much and I promise to make the subsequent entries a bit more fun, if possible.

Juice On!
